Choose a tool by the result you need
Unicode substitutions create different characters; combining marks add characters around source text, while reversal and wrappers change its arrangement. These are not installed fonts or native rich-text formatting. Several tools share style maps, so compare the workflow rather than assuming every named result is a unique alphabet. Keep an ordinary-text version for fields or readers that need it.
| Your task | Tool | Output | Important limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Inspect characters or get an escape for code | Unicode Text Generator | Code points, UTF-8 bytes, UTF-16 units, HTML, CSS and JavaScript escapes, grapheme clusters, normalization forms and five letter styles | Letter styles overlap Font Generator. Review unsupported characters and the actual result; this does not install a font. |
| Filter and compare named transformations | Font Generator | 53 named styles plus focused Italic and Monospace comparisons | A style name is not a unique alphabet. Favourites depend on this browser; check destination field rules separately. |
| Compare bold-like character maps | Bold Text Generator | Unicode substitutions and bold-themed variations | Different characters are not native bold formatting. Coverage and appearance depend on the mapping and font. |
| Compare below-marks and wrappers | Underline Text Generator | Five below-mark rows, wrappers and a separate overline | Combining marks can expand counts and render unevenly. Brackets and underscores do not draw an actual underline. |
| Compare overlays and literal wrappers | Strikethrough Text Generator | Horizontal stroke, slash overlays and five wrappers | Not native formatting. Slash overlays are different from a horizontal strike; fields may reject added marks. |
| Compare turned-text approximations | Upside Down Text Generator | Substitution, reversal and optional wrapped outputs | Lookalikes are approximate, not a graphical rotation or a guaranteed reversible transformation. |
| Compare text-order operations | Backwards Text Generator | Eight reversal, ordering, case and wrapper outputs, plus four single plain reversals | Choose the unit carefully. Token or sentence ordering differs from reversing complete source clusters. |
| Compare Zalgo presets, set manual counts or compare six weird-text methods | Glitch and Zalgo Text Generator | Eight preset outputs, one configured manual result or six method results | Added-entry caps do not guarantee readability or visible marks. Keep the original; destination clipping and acceptance vary. |
| Convert a raised/lowered fragment or compare Tiny recipes | Superscript and Tiny Text Generator | One selected result or eight recipes with unchanged-cluster notices | Partial character maps and literal frames do not resize fonts or format equations. Check the actual destination. |
| Compare enclosed and framed letters | Bubble Text Generator | Seven enclosed-letter and frame presets | Not every input has an enclosed form. Parenthesized, circled and square outputs are different representations. |
| Compare square and indicator styles | Squared Text Generator | Seven presets: squared Latin, regional indicators, keycap indicators, fullwidth capitals and framed or block squares | Indicator pairing can produce flags. Generated spacing affects presentation; these are not interchangeable square fonts. |
| Compose a border and text treatment | Aesthetic Text Generator | Decorated text with case and optional bold-script choices | Preset decorations can overlap other tools. Inspect complete output and keep meaningful ordinary text available. |
| Expand supported ASCII forms | Fullwidth Text Generator | Twelve fullwidth, spacing and frame outputs | Printable ASCII mapping is scoped; fullwidth characters and extra spaces can change matching and wrapping. |
| Explore blackletter-like character styles | Old English Text Generator | Fraktur-themed Unicode substitutions | Blackletter appearance is not translation into historical Old English. Font coverage and supported input vary. |
Check a small example first
Open the tool, try a short sample and compare the output with the task above. Read its supported-input and error guidance before using a longer passage. If Copy fails, use the tool’s selectable output where available. Check what survives when you paste into the destination.
Handling your input and saved results
Browser-based processing does not establish that every site feature has identical data handling. Storage, clipboard, download, sharing and third-party site services are separate concerns. Use a non-sensitive sample when exploring tools and read the Privacy Policy for the site’s stated practices.
