Choose a tool by the result you need
These two tools solve different Unicode tasks. Revert restores supported styled characters or explicitly decodes an escape representation. Invisible Character inserts controls or spaces and lets you inspect code points. Neither is a general sorting, word-counting or list-cleaning workspace.
| Your task | Tool | Output | Important limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Restore supported styles or decode escapes | Revert Unicode Text Tool | Ordinary text, or explicitly encoded/decoded representations | Style recovery can lose distinctions. Choose the actual JavaScript, HTML, CSS, U+ list or URI-component format; decoding is not automatic. |
| Insert and inspect selected characters | Invisible Character Generator | Plain characters or context-specific HTML/CSS/JavaScript representations | Eleven curated entries, six modes and five formats. Joiners can alter shaping; platform acceptance is not promised. |
Check a small example first
Open the tool, try a short sample and compare the output with the task above. Read its supported-input and error guidance before using a longer passage. If Copy fails, use the tool’s selectable output where available. Check what survives when you paste into the destination.
Handling your input and saved results
Browser-based processing does not establish that every site feature has identical data handling. Storage, clipboard, download, sharing and third-party site services are separate concerns. Use a non-sensitive sample when exploring tools and read the Privacy Policy for the site’s stated practices.
