These Terms of Service ("Terms") cover your use of the TextToolbox website at texttoolbox.net and its tools. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. This page also contains what used to be the separate Disclaimer page.

1. Who can use the site

You need to be at least 13 years old. If you use TextToolbox on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you can accept these Terms for it.

2. What TextToolbox provides

TextToolbox is a free collection of browser-based text tools for formatting, converting, generating, cleaning and analysing text. Each tool has its own supported input, output and limits, described on its page. We may change, suspend or remove any tool or feature at any time without notice.

3. Acceptable use

You may use TextToolbox for lawful personal, educational or commercial purposes. You agree not to:

• Break any applicable law or regulation with the site or its output.
• Use the tools to create, process or share content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory or infringes someone else's rights.
• Send automated traffic that slows the site down for other visitors.
• Try to reverse engineer or extract the site's source code without permission.
• Use the site to spread spam or malware.

4. How accurate tool output is

Tool results come from programmed rules, and a rule can miss an unusual input. Check the result before you rely on it, especially for legal, medical, financial, academic or other important uses.

Text styling tools swap ordinary letters for other Unicode characters. Whether those characters appear correctly, or at all, depends on the app, website, font or device that receives them. Some platforms remove or replace such characters, and screen readers may read them differently. Test the result in the place where you will use it.

5. No professional advice

Nothing on TextToolbox, including tool output, articles and descriptions, is legal, medical, financial, linguistic or technical advice. If you need advice, ask a qualified professional. You use the site and its content at your own risk.

6. Your text and your data

Text you enter into a tool is yours. We claim no ownership of what you put in or what a tool gives back. Tools process text in your browser, but some features save choices in browser storage, and browsing the site involves analytics and advertising services. Check each tool's save, copy, export and share actions, and read the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy before using confidential material.

7. Ownership of the site

The tools, code, design, text and graphics on TextToolbox belong to TextToolboxor its licensors and are protected by copyright. You may link to any page. You may not copy, republish or redistribute the site's interfaces, content or code without written permission.

8. Third-party services and links

TextToolbox uses third-party services, including Google Analytics, Google AdSense and Web3Forms (which delivers contact form messages). Their own terms and privacy policies apply to them, and we are not responsible for how they work. Contact form messages are handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

Pages may link to other websites for reference. A link is not an endorsement, we do not control those sites, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.

9. Advertising

TextToolboxmay show advertisements, including ads served by Google AdSense. Where ads appear they are meant to be clearly separate from the site's content. If ads are shown, we may earn money when they are viewed or clicked. That does not change which tools we build or what our pages say. We are not responsible for the content of advertisements or for products and services offered by advertisers.

10. No warranty and limit of liability

TextToolboxis provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the site will always be available or free of errors.

To the fullest extent the law allows, TextToolbox and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of the site or inability to use it. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to the amount you paid to use it, which for a free service is zero.

11. Ending access

We may suspend or end access to the site for anyone who breaks these Terms or harms the site, other visitors or us.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. When we do, we change the "Last updated" date above. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Disputes are handled by the competent courts in the applicable jurisdiction.
