What Is the Bold Text Generator?
Compare ten named character maps: six bold mathematical alphabets, Double Struck, enclosed capitals and Fullwidth. These outputs are plain characters, not installed fonts or native rich-text formatting. Several maps overlap other TextToolbox tools; a name is not proof of a unique alphabet.
Want to compare a short heading such as Workshop 9? Start with Serif Bold or Sans-Serif Bold so the digit changes with the letters. Try Bold Script for a different letter shape, but notice that its 9 stays ordinary.
How to Use the Bold Text Generator
- Enter your short label in Original text. Include a number if the label needs one; different rows treat digits differently.
- Compare the complete labelled outputs. Compare digit coverage and whether a map merges letter case.
- Open an inline Preview when you want a larger separate field. Copy uses the same cached value you see.
- If Copy fails, select the output and copy manually. Check the actual destination before publishing.
How the Bold Text Generator Works
Input is segmented into complete source grapheme clusters. A mapping replaces a supported whole cluster; combined letters, non-Latin clusters and emoji remain unchanged in map-based rows. This does not normalize accents or transliterate a language. A substitution can still change subsequent boundaries or rendering.
Serif Bold, Sans-Serif Bold, both bold italic maps, Bold Script and Bold Fraktur are distinct mathematical styles. Double Struck is an outline-style alphabet, Fullwidth expands letter/digit forms, and the enclosed rows map both cases to capitals. Only Serif Bold, Sans-Serif Bold, Double Struck and Fullwidth map digits; other maps leave digits unchanged.
Bold Text Generator Example
| Input and style | Output | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Ab9, Serif Bold | ๐๐๐ | Letter case and a mapped digit |
| Ab9, Bold Script | ๐๐ซ9 | Digit remains ordinary |
| aA, Bold Circled | ๐
๐
| Both cases map to the same capital |
| e plus U+0301, mathematical map | eฬ | Whole combined cluster is retained |
When to Use the Bold Text Generator
Use the focused grid when the decision is which character map fits a short optional label. Compare the complete source before choosing a style. If your editor supports native bold, use that for semantic emphasis in longer passages rather than substituting mathematical letters.
| Rows | ASCII digits | Letter case and spaces |
|---|---|---|
| Serif Bold and Sans-Serif Bold | Mapped | Case kept; ordinary spaces kept |
| Serif Bold Italic and Sans-Serif Bold Italic | Unchanged | Case kept; ordinary spaces kept |
| Bold Script and Bold Fraktur | Unchanged | Case kept; ordinary spaces kept |
| Double Struck | Mapped | Outline alphabet; case kept |
| Bold Circled and Bold Squared | Unchanged | Both letter cases become enclosed capitals |
| Fullwidth | Mapped | Case kept; this grid retains ordinary U+0020 spaces |
The Unicode Text Generator also has a Fullwidth row, but it replaces ordinary spaces with U+3000. For input A B, this grid returns ๏ผก ๏ผข; the Unicode grid returns ๏ผกใ๏ผข. Check the complete value rather than assuming matching row names mean identical output.
Common Mistakes
Unicode validity does not establish account-name permission, display consistency, search equivalence or identical speech output. Lookalikes are different characters. Font fallback, line wrapping and field filters can alter appearance or reject a result. Copying a style does not carry arbitrary color or size.
Input is capped at 2,000 UTF-16 units and 500 source clusters. Unsupported C0/DEL controls and incomplete surrogate sequences are rejected; tabs and line endings are allowed. Errors keep input editable and clear results without silent shortening. Browser segmentation data can differ.
Tips for Better Results
Test supported letters and combined/non-Latin text together, inspect stored output counts, and retain the source. Use the Unicode Text Generator to see code points and UTF-8 bytes, or the Font Generator to compare 53 character styles. You can keep this focused grid when the ten rows cover your choice.
